Those problems are circuits, memories in the brain. Each one of those memories are connected to people and things at certain times and places. Each one of those memories has an emotion. Emotions are the end product of past experiences.

So the moment they recall those memories of their problems, they all of a sudden feel unhappy, they feel sad, they feel pain. Now, how you think and how you feel creates your state of being.

So what does that mean? The familiar past will sooner or later be predictable future. They do the same things, They see the same people that push the same emotional buttons, and that becomes the routine and it becomes like a program. So when it comes time to change, the redundancy of that cycle becomes a subconscious program.

So then how do you begin to make those changes? Well, you have to get beyond the analytical mind, because what separates the conscious mind from the subconscious mind is the analytical mind. And when they do that properly, they do enter the operating system where they can begin to make some really important changes.

Do that enough times, body has a panic attack without you. So people become addicted to the rush of those emotions and they use the problems and conditions in their life to reaffirm their limitation, so at least they can feel something. Being in the unknown is a scary place for most people because the unknown is uncertain.

Not from the known, but from the unknown. What thoughts do you want to fire and wire in your brain? What behaviors you want to demonstrate in one day? The act of rehearsing, them mentally closing your eyes and rehearsing the action. Yeah, the action of what you want, by closing your eyes and mentally rehearsing some action. So then you begin to install the neurological hardware in your brain to look like the event has already occurred.

And if you keep doing it, priming it that way, the hardware becomes a software program and who knows, you just may start acting like a happy person. Then I think the hardest part is to teach our body emotionally what the future will feel like ahead of the actual experience.

But what that means then is that from the Newtonian world is that most people spend their whole life living in lack, waiting for something to change out there.

Newtonian world is all about the predictable. The moment you start feeling abundant and worthy, you are generating wealth. The moment you start feeling whole, your healing begins. They made me think and feel this way.

And so then the act of becoming conscious of this process, to begin to become more aware of how you think, how you act, and how you feel is called metacognition. The rocks that sift to the top that are like our emotional blocks, they have to be removed. We have to make room to plant the new garden. Now your personal reality is affecting or creating your personality. Your environment is really controlling how you think and feel unconsciously.

Because every person, every thing, every place, every experience has a neurological network in your brain. Every experience that you have with every person produces an emotion.In order for us to create something new in our lives, we have to leave behind a portion of the known and familiar.

This includes familiar thoughts, behaviors, emotions, and sometimes even relationships. For most people, leaving behind the illusory security of the known and stepping into the unknown can be a terrifying place. This is why change is so hard. In teaching this work all over the world, I often times find people forgetting the reason why we put so much effort into our daily practice in the first place.

Just imagine what would be possible if you could put all of your passion, energy, and attention into the thoughts of your future with the same passion, energy, and attention that you put into your self-limiting thoughts.

Just imagine if we could stop surrendering to fear or anxiety and start surrendering more to love or trust.

The Habit of Your New Self

The challenge then is to properly fire and wire new thoughts the thoughts of your future into your brain every day. Next you have to rehearse the behaviors you want to demonstrate in your life every day. Because most people go unconscious during their day, the walking meditation is a great way for us to embody the energy of our future. To walk like a wealthy person, a healthy person, or a person in love—and to move in new ways as a more unlimited human being with certainty, clarity, passion, and awareness—is to be that future self.

Each time you make a new choice that is in alignment with your future, you are priming your brain to install the neurological hardware to actually think, act, and feel like the person you want to be in your future. If you keep firing and wiring those networks in your brain, the hardware eventually becomes the software program and making choices that are in alignment with your future becomes more automatic.

Dr. Joe Dispenza On A Formula For Healing The Body With The Mind

When you do it enough times, as we walk as our future self—as we get our body involved each day in the process—this behavior becomes the habit of the new self. This is how we create new habits of thought and behavior. Then one day you naturally walk from your front door to your car as that future person—not as the unconscious programs that you normally live by. One of the other major hurdles in this process of becoming is to teach your body to emotionally feel your future.

The more you can feel the emotions of your future, the less likely you will be to live in lack and separation, because the longer we condition our body into the emotions of our future, the more we feel like that future has already happened. Instead, you would just know your future is coming towards you, so all you have to do is receive it when it comes knocking on your door.

Staying in that energy the entire day is the work. If you keep doing this, walking as your future self, sitting as your future self, standing as future self, lying down as future self, then in time you will become your future.

In response to that bodily feeling, the brain generates thoughts that produce corresponding chemical messengers; you begin to think the way you are feeling. Thinking creates a feeling and then feeling creates thinking, in a continuous cycle. This loop eventually creates a particular state in the body that determines the general nature of how we feel and behave. We will call this a state of being.
